Typhidot Igm is a type of dot ELISA method which is done for typhoid fever. It works on principle of detecting IgG & IgM antibodies produced by body in response to outer membrane protein of Samonella Typhi. This kit uses nitrocellulose strips that are coated with OMP antigen which allows binding of lipopolysaccharide specific antibodies in case of positive results. Typhidot Igm is greatly admired for being highly sensitive & specific, quick, and reliable in nature. It has a cassette which is provided with separate control & test lines for both antibodies and a sample well to which serum or plasma is poured. This kit also contains a chase buffer which is used to allow sample to wick up in membrane.
